Dust control was a major concern for the Peruvian client. Powder materials such as compost powder, straw powder, and phosphate rock powder can generate dust during crushing and mixing.
Capacity: 5TPH
Materials: composted cow dung, crop straw, phosphate rock, and potassium sulfate
Cost: $67,810
Solution: Double Shaft Mixing system
In early September 2025, YUSHUNXIN received an inquiry from an agricultural company in Peru. The client planned to build a 5T/H compost mixing fertilizer production line to process local livestock manure resources. He wants to blend cow dung compost with mineral nutrients and other organic materials. After discussing, YUSHUNXIN designed a compact compost fertilizer mixing system suitable for the customer’s plant conditions and market needs.
Get Free QuoteThe Peruvian customer already produces fermented cow dung compost from a local cattle farm. However, the customer wanted to improve nutrient balance and expand the fertilizer market.
For this reason, he wanted to mix the compost with several other materials during production. The main raw materials for this project include: fermented cow dung compost, crop straw powder, phosphate rock powder, and potassium sulfate. This formula increases phosphorus and potassium content while maintaining the organic nutrients from cow manure. Based on the production target, the client decided to establish a 5-ton-per-hour compost mixing fertilizer production line.

To match the raw material characteristics and production requirements, YUSHUNXIN offered several key machines for this fertilizer project.
Large particles in fermented cattle manure compost can reduce mixing uniformity and slow down the blending process. The customer, therefore, requested further size reduction before mixing. To meet this requirement, YUSHUNXIN recommended the SXFLF-600 vertical crusher. This machine quickly crushes fermented cow dung compost into fine powder. The crushed compost becomes more uniform and easier to mix with other fertilizer materials.
The customer also required strict control of compost powder size. For efficient mixing, the particle size should remain between 2 mm and 5 mm. To achieve this goal, the 5T/H blended compost fertilizer production line includes a drum screening machine. After crushing, the compost powder enters the screener. The machine separates oversized particles and sends them back to the crusher.
The fertilizer formula from the Peru’s client requires several raw materials. Each material must follow a precise proportion during production. To solve this requirement, YUSHUNXIN configured a four-bin automatic batching machine. Each bin stores a different material, including compost powder, straw powder, phosphate rock powder, and potassium sulfate. The dynamic batching system measures each component and releases it according to preset ratios.
Efficient mixing is the core step in compost fertilizer blending. The Peruvian customer required a reliable fertilizer mixer that could handle powder materials with different densities. To meet this demand, we equipped the plant with a double-shaft mixer. It not only meets the customer’s required production capacity, but also ensures uniform mixing of their materials.
The customer planned to sell the finished fertilizer in 50 kg bags. Efficient packaging, therefore became an important requirement. To support this plan, YUSHUNXIN designed a powder packing system that includes: single-bucket automatic bagging scale, bag sewing machine, and palletizing.
The total investment for this Peruvian cow dung mixed compost fertilizer project reached $67,810.
This cost covers the main production equipment, electrical control system, and installation guidance. Compared with large organic fertilizer granulation plants, a compost mixing system requires much lower investment. The equipment structure remains simple and easy to maintain. Daily operating costs mainly include electricity consumption, labor, and routine maintenance. Most spare parts such as crusher blades, mixer paddles, and conveyor belts are standard industrial components. These parts are easy to replace when necessary. With proper maintenance, the equipment can operate efficiently for many years while maintaining stable fertilizer production.
Dust control was a major concern for the Peruvian client. Powder materials such as compost powder, straw powder, and phosphate rock powder can generate dust during crushing and mixing.
To improve the working environment, YUSHUNXIN equipped the plant with a bag dust collector. This system captures fine particles and reduces dust in the workshop. In addition, the double shaft mixer includes a sealed dust cover to prevent powder leakage during operation. These dust control measures help the fertilizer plant maintain cleaner production conditions while ensuring efficient compost fertilizer processing.
The above are details about our communication with the customer about 5TPH cow dung compost mixing fertilizer production line in Peru. In addition, we also can provide you with many other blend fertilizer making solutions, such as 30TPH BB fertilizer plant design, $200,000 cost fertilizer mixing system, etc.
